A balloon valance in a bay window.

We used a gorgeous striped silk fabric to make this full balloon. It is hung at the ceiling for a clean look.

A cornice can be economical.

A cornice board is a great style for you windows especially if your fabric is costly. Since there are no gathers or pleats with this treatment a minimum amount of fabric is needed.



Notice the detail in Judy's cornice - a single vertical cord down the middle.
